On 18 April 1993, Pope John Paul II declared Sister Faustina blessed. On 30 April 2000 she was canonized. On that great occasion, the Vatican officialy established the Sunday after Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday thoughout the world.

Jesus told Sister Faustina, "I am sending you with my mercy to all humanity". Today, millions of people all over the globe continue to draw closer of God because of the humble life writtings of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, Jesus messenger of mercy.
