Fr. Alessio Parente O.F.M Cap assisted St Pio during the last six years of his Life. After his death he became the English language correspondant at the Friary. He travelled all over the English speaking world spreading St Pio's spirituality. He died in January 2000 and to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the death of St Pio and on  this special year of the exhumation, the Irish Office for St Pio decided to reproduce on C.D, a recording of an interview between Fr. Jack McArdle and Fr. Alessio. The interview took place in 1985 and is the only record in english by this priest who lived so close to St Pio.
